When you're as famous as Justin Bieber, the 19-year-old pop star who this week became the first Twitter user to reach 40 million followers, you can spend money extravagantly
His lastest purchase? A ticket on space tourism company Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo, which costs $250,000 a seat. His manager Scooter Braun will be tagging along.
After Virgin Galactic founder Sir Richard Branson revealed the news on Twitter, Bieber teased in a tweet that he wants to record a music video while in space. If he completes that feat, Bieber would become the second person to record a music video in space — right behind Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, who recorded a song aboard the International Space Station in December and followed up with a video of a different song in May.
