Zillow Buys StreetEasy for $50 Million to Boost NYC Presence

Zillow

Zillow will purchase StreetEasy, a leading New York City real estate site, for $50 million, the company announced Monday. The deal should help Zillow to increase its presence in what may be the most competitive real estate market in the country.

StreetEasy was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing users with details about sales and rental listings previously only available through brokers. While the website initially focused singularly on New York, it has since expanded to a few other areas including Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
