It has long been rumored that Samsung is working on a web-connected smart watch, and now a trademark filing indicates it could be called "Samsung Gear."
As first spotted by tech website Phandroid, the Korean manufacturer officially trademarked the name last week
Although the filing noted "Samsung Gear" can be designated for a variety of products, among the first few mentioned are "parts and fittings for watches; wristwatches; electronic clocks and watches; bracelets; watchbands; control clocks."
