Edward Snowden Breaks Silence From Russia

Edward Snowden broke his days-long silence Monday.


The NSA whistleblower, who has been stuck in Moscow's Sheremyetevo airport since June 23, threatened new disclosures in a letter sent to Ecuador's President Rafael Correa, partially published by Reuters, and released a separate statement through WikLeaks


Snowden claims the United States is persecuting him for revealing the NSA top secret surveillance programs, according to an undated, Spanish-language letter seen by Reuters.



"I remain free and able to publish information that serves the public interest," Snowden wrote. "No matter how many more days my life contains, I remain dedicated to the fight for justice in this unequal world. If any of those days ahead realize a contribution to the common good, the world will have the principles of Ecuador to thank." Read more...
