Instagram announced Thursday a new feature called Instagram Direct, which allows users to share private pictures and videos directly to friends.
Instagram Direct gives users a more personalized way to share moments with a smaller group of people and not all followers. The app update is available for iOS download and Android starting today and is still in beta for Windows Phone.
The company unveiled the news, which was in line with rumors,
during a press event in New York City. It created fanfare over today's festivities by sending physical Instagram images printed on canvas to members of the press. Read more...
