In a clear sign that Instagram is placing a greater focus on video, the company acquired video-sharing app Luma, which allows users to capture and add filters to videos.
The move marks the first-ever acquisition Instagram has made and will likely build on the platform's newly implemented video capturing and sharing abilities. Similar to how Instagram users can add colors, Luma lets users capture and stylize videos by adjusting brightness, contrast and more. Users can add, switch or remove filters once video filming is finished
